A hydraulic engineer with more than 20 years of experience, Kamal Hamaï specializes in water resources management and hydraulic engineering. He holds a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering and brings his expertise to complex projects involving the management and modelling of hydraulic systems.

His areas of expertise include hydraulic studies of watercourses, sewer master plans, the dynamic management of retention facilities and pumping stations, as well as surface water management in the mining sector.

As President of JFSA Québec, Kamal also contributes to the company’s development and to the delivery of projects that address current water management and hydraulic infrastructure challenges.

With more than 15 years of experience in hydrology and hydraulics, Katherine Cadieux-Auger has developed expertise in water management and in the delivery of projects related to water resources. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences and a Master’s degree in Project Management.

Her multidisciplinary background provides her with a broad range of expertise and allows her to contribute to a variety of hydrology and hydraulic projects, including stormwater management, hydraulic network modelling, and the analysis of water management challenges.

As Vice-President and Director of Operations at JFSA Québec, Katherine plays an active role in the company’s development and oversees its operations and projects. She is responsible for maintaining the quality of services provided, supporting the development of the team’s expertise, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects tailored to clients’ needs.

Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Marcel Roy has more than 40 years of experience in municipal engineering, with a particular focus on municipal infrastructure. His extensive career has allowed him to develop recognized expertise in water management and infrastructure related to municipal networks.

He coordinates and contributes to a variety of hydrology and hydraulic projects, including master plans, overflow management plans, and projects involving the operation and maintenance of stormwater management facilities.

His experience also includes serving as an expert in legal proceedings. Recognized for his technical expertise and practical experience, Marcel is also an experienced trainer, particularly in the areas of stormwater management and the operation and maintenance of best management practices (BMPs).

A Civil Engineer with more than 10 years of experience in water resources management and hydraulic engineering, Ms. Pereira has developed diverse expertise in municipal infrastructure, environmental engineering, hydrology, and urban and river hydraulics.

She is involved in the analysis and resolution of complex hydraulic challenges, drawing on her understanding of water systems and the interactions between waterways, infrastructure, and surrounding environments. Her expertise spans both urban and riverine settings.

As Head of River Hydraulics at JFSA Québec, she leads the team specializing in this field and coordinates the delivery of its projects. She contributes to the development of rigorous, practical solutions tailored to the challenges of watercourse and water resources management.

Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Sabryna Dumouchel has diverse experience in municipal engineering and the management of water-related infrastructure.

Throughout her career, she has contributed to a wide range of projects, including sewer master plans, overflow management plans, drainage plans, and expert assessments for legal proceedings.

She also has extensive experience in the inspection and compliance assessment of residential plumbing systems. She has coordinated and carried out more than 2,000 inspections, including inspections aimed at identifying illegal connections and verifying compliance with applicable requirements.

As a Partner at JFSA Québec, she also contributes to the company’s development, drawing on her field experience and knowledge of municipal infrastructure to support projects addressing water management and municipal network challenges.

Holding both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Martin Giroux has expertise in hydrology and hydraulics applied to urban and riverine environments.

He specializes in 1D and 2D hydraulic modelling of watercourses, as well as modelling of stormwater and sanitary sewer networks. His experience also includes field data collection and analysis, including topographic surveys and flow measurements using ADCP technology.

As a Partner at JFSA Québec, Martin also contributes to the company’s development and applies his expertise in modelling and field data collection to projects aimed at better understanding and addressing hydrologic and hydraulic challenges.

A civil engineering professional with a Master’s degree in Applied Sciences, M. Huaringa has more than 20 years of experience in hydrology and hydraulics. His background combines extensive expertise in water resources with specialized training in data science, machine learning, and applied artificial intelligence.

With a strong interest in research and development, he leverages emerging technologies to develop innovative approaches to water resources management. His work includes the development of predictive tools for forecasting water levels and streamflows, combining hydrometric and precipitation data with advanced analytical and modelling techniques.

He also contributes to a variety of projects in hydrology, hydraulics, and precipitation monitoring. His multidisciplinary background allows him to bridge traditional water resources expertise with emerging technologies to develop decision-support tools tailored to the needs of communities and water managers.

A graduate of the Université de Sherbrooke with a degree in Civil Engineering and a concentration in Environmental Engineering, Myreille Paré also holds a Diploma of College Studies (DCS) in Civil Engineering Technology. Her background has allowed her to develop diverse expertise in hydrology and hydraulics applied to riverine, mining, and urban environments.

She has extensive experience in river hydraulics, including hydrologic and hydraulic modelling, floodplain mapping, the development of surface water management plans, and the hydraulic design of structures such as bridges and culverts. She also conducts field data surveys and contributes to projects involving watercourse protection and bank stabilization.

Her expertise is supported by a strong knowledge of applicable standards and criteria, as well as proficiency in several specialized software tools used in hydrology, hydraulics, and geomatics, including HEC-RAS, PCSWMM, ArcGIS, and QGIS.

Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mr. Grenier-Brazeau contributes to a wide range of hydrology and hydraulic projects. His experience includes the analysis and management of hydraulic systems in municipal settings.

He has particular expertise in the inspection of municipal stormwater management facilities and hydraulic infrastructure. This field experience provides him with a practical perspective on the condition, operation, and performance of infrastructure, allowing him to contribute to the identification of solutions tailored to clients’ needs.

Ms. Roy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Bioresource Engineering as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Science, with a background in Pharmacology and Biology. She also holds a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, specializing in Water Resources, Hydraulics, and Environmental Engineering.

Her multidisciplinary background allows her to approach water management challenges from a variety of perspectives. She applies her expertise in hydrology, hydraulics, and modelling to projects aimed at better understanding water systems and developing solutions tailored to water management challenges.

A Junior Engineer (E.I.T.) with JFSA Québec’s Urban Hydraulics team since February 2026, Houssem Eddine Haroun has a strong academic background in hydraulics, hydrology, and water resources management. His international academic background includes a Professional Master’s degree in Water Sciences from INRS, a Master’s degree in Land and Water Resources Management from CIHEAM Bari in Italy, and a State Engineering degree in Hydraulics from Algeria.

He specializes in the design and modelling of urban hydraulic networks, including drainage systems, sewer networks, and drinking water distribution systems. He is proficient in modelling tools such as HEC-RAS and SWMM for hydraulic analysis, floodplain delineation, and stormwater management. He also contributes to projects involving hydraulic infrastructure, natural hazard assessment, and green infrastructure solutions.

Holding a Diploma of College Studies (DCS) in Civil Engineering Technology, Mr. Marris has practical experience in field surveys, infrastructure inspections, and the monitoring of stormwater management facilities.

He conducts various field surveys, inspects urban infrastructure and stormwater management facilities, and prepares technical drawings.

He also has expertise in the planning, installation, and maintenance of specialized instruments used to collect precipitation, hydrometric, and meteorological data.

Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Hydraulics, Hakim Eldjouzi has a diverse academic background in hydraulics, complemented by experience in project management and technical and commercial management gained in the industrial sector in Algeria.

He joined the JFSA Québec team in 2026 as a Water Resources Technician. In this role, he conducts field surveys and infrastructure inspections, prepares technical drawings using AutoCAD and QGIS, and contributes to the installation and management of precipitation monitoring equipment.

His versatile background, combining training in hydraulics with practical experience in project management and fieldwork, allows him to effectively contribute to a variety of hydrology and hydraulic projects.

Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Ms. Delisle has more than 15 years of experience in administration. As an Executive Assistant at JFSA Québec, she contributes to the smooth operation of the company’s administrative and financial activities and provides day-to-day support to management.

Her responsibilities include client invoicing, accounts payable, and payroll administration. Her thoroughness, versatility, and strong organizational skills contribute to the efficient management of JFSA Québec’s administrative activities.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and more than 40 years of experience in water resources and interdisciplinary projects across Quebec and Ontario, Jean-François Sabourin has built a strong reputation in hydrologic and hydraulic engineering, particularly in the development and application of models for water resources analysis and management.

Throughout his career, he has contributed to numerous projects involving urban stormwater management, flow monitoring, watershed analysis, water balance assessments, infiltration and runoff analysis, floodplain mapping and management, and source water protection. His expertise also includes the development and calibration of hydrologic and hydraulic models, as well as the design of measures to mitigate environmental impacts.

Recognized for his technical expertise, Jean-François is regularly called upon to advise various levels of government and contribute to the development of policies, guidelines, and research initiatives. He has also served as an expert witness in numerous legal proceedings.
